Anne was laid to rest w/ a grand ceremony on the south side of the High Altar in Westminster Abbey, the only of HVIII's wives to be buried there. She had lead a happy life in England for if she had returned to Cleeves her brother, William, would most likely married her off to another unknown man. #3

Anne of Cleeves was granted a generous settlement of land & property enjoying the title of the "King's Beloved Sister". She outlived HVIII & his other wives, dying at Chelsea Manor on July 16, 1557, likely of cancer. Her funeral was conducted according to Catholic rites, as she had requested. #2
