Because Joss Whedon is much-loved for his feminist voice, for a long time I've had the idea of re-watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer and applying the "Bechdel Test" to each episode, basically scoring how many scenes pass the test. But I hadn't actually started doing it before today.

And today I began by asking ChatGPT 5 (Thinking) to do exactly this, for SE1 EP1. And this evening I'm re-watching the episode and assessing (a) how well the LLM did, and (b) to what extent noted feminist Joss Whedon passes the Bechdel Test in this episode.
