No more Braedynns. If you're Jewish, you get named for a dead relative, if you're Catholic you get named based on the nearest saints day and if you're Protestant you open a Bible to a random page and choose the first name on that page. Return to tradition

The '16 Stein voter I know IRL just happens to be one of the few people who still intentionally deadname and misgender me, I'm sure that's a coincidence
-
If you think trans people's concerns with Newsom or other Democrats who have adopted anti trans talking points are comparable to the "concerns" of 2016 Stein voters, you are plainly a transphobe
-
Literally nothing is stopping from "enjoying' it, what you're doing right now is not in service if that. I can still laugh at Newsom parodying Trump tweets while criticizing him for adopting right wing talking points on trans rights
-
It's very weird to stay wedded to this when you admit you would support candidates who have not signaled capitulation on trans rights!
-
It's not "trashing" to say that a Democrat should not be adopting right wing framing and narratives on the civil rights issue of our time and demanding he stop it he wants an electoral future. It's called intra-coalition politics and you've put yourself on the wrong side.
-
Pritzker, Beshear, Walz immediately come to mind as Democratic governors who have voiced continued support for trans rights in recent months. It's just completely wrong to say it's obvious the Dem will be anti trans.

This question probably only has the power to reflect broader values as to whether an individual is permitted to exercise their own discretion to end any friend/family relationship or whether we are "stuck" with certain relationships no matter how awful someone is.
-
The premise that you can accurately capture people's views on something as complex as when and why it's appropriate to end any friend/family with a single question like this is absurd.

I will never understand how American elites managed to convince themselves that uncivil debate — not fascism, not impunity and not widespread indifference to facts — is the defining problem of our time. www.nytimes.com/2025/08/26/o...
