One of my favorite adaptions from book to movie is Fellowship, as they condense so much material in an efficient and logical way. Do we need to see Frodo hanging around for a year while Gandalf is off doing shit? Is it just gonna keep cutting back to him on the couch? Then on the can, and so on.
