I’m not wanting to intrude on what you think is right, but I’m sending you kind and caring thoughts for your loss and for any hurt you experienced. Maybe you best judge a response by finding something that would honour the memory of your father? Self care would be a priority at the moment too.

Same here in Qld. There’s seldom anyone masking, including in healthcare. It makes it harder to maintain precautions when there’s so few doing it.

So true - and I suppose it puts us in a defensive position if we feel we need to respond and justify a sensible decision. I tend to reduce contact with those who are making unnecessary comments. It’s a challenging time at the moment.

I asked my Doctor if I could say she had advised me to wear a mask and she said yes. She’s still taking some precautions. I say I’m wearing it on my doctor’s advice. I then change the subject and stay off topic. It keeps it simple.
