The definition you've let him get away with is wrong. Whoever wrote that Internet nonsense left out the crucial factor of definition. Murder is never lawful and stating the facts of a homicide is not an admission of murder. The crime didn't exist and did not need excuse.

Thanks for injecting some reality. Murder is a crime; an unlawful killing of a human being by a human being. A homicide can be lawful and morally justified. There is no definition of murder other than the legal one; there isn't a separate 'moral' definition.
