This is a far bigger sign of age-related dementia to me than Biden's stumbling over remembering what year his son died. Biden knew the month and day but stumbled a bit to find the correct year, something I do in my early 59s. Trump imagined conversations that couldn't have occurred.

I agree it's awful but it should be noted that in Texas (and other parts of the South IIRC) most prisoners live in non-air conditioned prisons. Here the cruelty is just business as normal, not something reserved for immigrants.
