Random opinion: I don't like foiled cards (MTG specific, but in general). It's not the curling issue, I dislike the shimmer. Its a turn off, uneven. The only foils I liked were the stained glass full-art DMU lands, those looked gorgeous.
Sometimes I'd sell foils, buy regular, keep a little cash.
