Somebody thought this subhead reflected the threat to "healthy functioning of the courts." h/t @marcelias.bsky.social
This almost defies belief, except that it's number one million in a series.

I apologize for swearing but--are you fucking kidding me???
The NYT thinks that judges refusing to give Trump's DOJ the benefit of the doubt is "eroding the healthy functioning of the courts."
For democracy to survive, judges need to be more skeptical and impose greater sanctions for DOJ's lies.

Yes, agree on both points.

Yes, good point.

I let people of each faith or denomination—Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, LDS, Southern Baptist, you name it—complain about policies, failures, leadership personalities of their own group.
Having been raised Protestant (with relatives in many branches), I'll say: This is the worst face of Christianity.
I remember trying to explain to Irish people how nutjobs (and ominous) it was that Trump was naming Mike Huckabee as one of his first nominees in November.
I honestly don't think I have the vocabulary to explain this--but I know a huge swaths of self-described Christians are applauding genocide.

Yes, great point.

Me too. Restaurant / bar / even just seats at the least-crowded departure gate within reasonable distance of yours.
Not those damned lounges, which "we" are reportedly so eager to populate and "be seen" in.
