In the US we see this on numerous issues: guns, reproductive rights, etc.
There's a parallel problem here in the US with a significant % claiming to want action against global warming, while often voting against what they claim to want.
Australian voters vote around 75% of the time for global warming deniers & accelerationists. There's no chance that a majority of Australians sincerely want action against global warming. Most by are global warming deniers, with many lying about this. I don't believe them at all.
They have a lower standard of living than those in the blue states. They have a shorter life expectancy in those very prolife states. They are ready to endure unlimited pain for their bigotry & hate
weird how the guy born into obscene wealth, bailed out repeatedly, allowed to fail upwards forever until he fell ass-backwards into the presidency, and then was declared by the Supreme Court to be a Very Special Boy Who Can Crime Forever never stops whining about how everything is rigged against him
Yes, that's not a meaningful distinction. The fact that Kanye West has in fact gotten paid billions to hurl n-words doesn't make him any less of a white supremacist to me. It's not surprising to see him later come out as a rabid antisemite.
They are accomplices. And constituents should still call them to yell at them. Just FYI - I don't have any GOP representatives, but I do call my dem ones.
