Bringing up that AI is used to make new antibiotics, etc, when someone is talking about the dangers of genAI slop is like bringing up ambulances because someone is complaining that cars are too big and are killing people.

Matt's entire thread is very relatable to me, but especially this. There's people I'm sure who think I'm "faking" because they only see me when I'm well enough to be out and about. It's my housemates who get to see me slumped in a chair the day after struggling to gather the energy to feed myself.
It'd be very easy to see my timeline and think im healthy & everything's amazing all the time.
When I'm fine I seem "normal" but that's because l've done a load of work managing my energy budget, leaving early, adding multiple rest days into my calendar, & having very slow months during bad periods
