The Democratic Party @kamalaharris.com strategy of promoting unions for workers has clearly failed. Most workers aren't in unions, none of this works in winning elections.
Long-term a $20 federal minimum wage would accomplish way more than this failure. We need new ways forward.
Wages of unionized workers are 13% higher than their nonunion counterparts.
But unions also set a higher pay standard that all workers enjoy.
In high-union-density states, median household income is $12,000 higher than in low-union-density states.
This is why unions are vital.
