  1. The evidence for more 20mph zones ā¤µļø

āœ”ļø Cut deaths and serious injuries by 1/3 āœ”ļø Protect children āœ”ļø Reduce crashes āœ”ļø Lower noise āœ”ļø Boost walking & cycling

There is too much bluff and bluster on this subject. Ordinary people just want safe streets for themselves and those they love, and we can achieve that, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

Dear Britain, it’s now clear: 20mph zones save lives and don’t slow traffic. Implement them | Sadiq Khan

  2. I do love how one of the UK’s most virulently anti-migrant publications is now helpfully publishing guides on how you can become a migrant.

Almost like there’s a touch of hypocrisy in the air, isn’t there?

The best golden visas
Secure residency abroad, whether you're looking for a warmer climate, tax perks or EU access - or all three

  3. Exactly what I'm talking about. Starmer should be hanging Farage out to dry, telling him the delays and checks are down to his Brexit. Go after Farage. Let him defend Britons being exposed to EES and Etias.

It is easier to fight Farage on Brexit - an acknowledged disaster - than immigration - which is a nebulous problem where Farage can move the goalposts.

If he bring up immigration, point out that migrants can be sent back to Europe when you're a member, but Farage argued to give up that facility.

  4. The particularly hilarious thing about Brexiters being aghast and disgruntled at the direct consequences of the thing they wanted to happen happening, is that without the EU side guiding the UK through it by the hand and not giving up on getting a deal in place they would be far, far worse.

  5. 2025: Brexiters complaining about UK travellers to the EU being subjected to checks

2016: That time Nigel Farage said he didn't want us to have EU passports, but UK passports, making a third country outside of the EU, and subject to the EU's rules for third countries

  6. It's the same with Farage and the "small boat crisis".

Farage is more to blame fir causing the crisis than any other UK citizen, but due to unwillingness of the Labour govt to say anything negative about Brexit, Farage not only gets away with it but can weaponise it.

Martin Shipton You wouldn’t know it from the way he is weaponising the issue for his own political ends, but if there’s one person more responsible for the ā€œsmall boatsā€ migration crisis than anyone e...

  7. Another example of how #Brexit supporters are exploiting the very predictable bad consequences for UK citizens of the Brexit they demanded to attack the Labour government.

And because the Starmer govt won't criticise Brexit, Farage and the Mail get away with this nonsense again and again.

  8. The people who brought you Brexit on a promise of ā€˜control’ now threaten civil unrest and frothing racism as govt policy… For love of god can we just stop listening to anything they have to say. They represent nothing but inadequacy and failure. Surely our country can do better than this.
