Probably won't even be in the top 10 of awful things Trump will do this week, but the President has just nominated someone to head the BLS who is a running joke among other economists for his ignorance of basic statistics... 🙄

FYI, the US import price data exclude tariffs.

Oh, I think you'll find the only statics knowledge he needs is to ask Trump what labour figures he wants this month, make that the number, and then to deduct 1.29% so that they look 'realistic'.
