Central Park is a great with tours to learn about how glaciers made the park. In Manhattan, there's the Museum of Natural History and the planetarium is next door. If she's into art, the Met and Guggenheim. The Met has a fun kids tour. The NY Hall of Science in Queens is good for kids into science.
