I lost my faith in humanity when I found out there are people out there who don't know how to cook rice.
Ya. Here you go: In a deep pot add 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups (scalable) of water. Bring to a boil covered and remove from heat. Let it stand for 15 minutes, uncover, fluff and let it stand for another couple of minutes. Bang Zoom perfect rice every time. Sticky rice may be a bit different. Anyone?

I do 2:1. Anything above 1:1 is basically meant to be accounted for by evaporation. So if you evaporate little, 1.5 might work, if you evaporate more 2 works. You’re evaporating whether or not the lid is on.

I don't measure at all. Dump a buncha rice into my favorite pot for rice. Shake it so it's level. Turn on water, place index finger with the very tip lightly on top of the rice and run it under the water until the water is just a tad over the first knuckle. Boil then simmer then rest. Done!

I saved these directions. Thank you.

That’s pretty much how I do it. Perfect every time.

yes you are using the perfect ratio. The bag always says to use 2:1 and it overbloats the rice.
