I was curious why it wasn't being discussed much on news sites or Bluesky, while on Reddit I saw Aussies talking about closing their businesses that primarily served the US. Seems newsworthy.

I don't know, with gun violence I think they do vote to knowingly do nothing. I acknowledge some feel tricked by Trump, but it just seems like such a high percentage of the population to fall for it all. I guess tons were also fooled by Brexit. People really need to pay more attention to politics!

I'm not from the US, so the traumas that are willingly inflicted on US children on a regular basis blows my mind. No other country, outside those in active conflict, does this, especially to children. Is this why 30% voted for this? Because their brains are so stunted from the trauma in their youth?
