The details of the settlement aren't public yet. Extremely curious to see how much per infringed work, and how many authors are ultimately involved. Also curious if there will be pushback from the class a la Google Books

  1. I’m personally hoping that part of the settlement will be acknowledgment by Anthropic that training AI models on copyright works without consent is not fair use. I know it’s unlikely, but a person can dream, no?
