    But if they're real criminals who actually might be armed? ICE doesn't go there. That might get them hurt or even killed. Lots of unarmed taco vendors and sick kids to kidnap instead to meet their quotas.

    the supreme court has ruled that simply running from police on sight does NOT provide a reasonable suspicion that an articulable crime has been committed, and therefore it is unlawful to pursue on that basis alone.

    This was a labor of love for my hometown. I will always be proud of being from LA, and I'm glad to have been part of the large team effort looking into the ICE raids.

    This story is personal. I'm a child of immigrants. My father came here as a refugee, an unaccompanied minor. My mother, a student.
