  1. Interesting, but this has a banal explanation: Chorus is a 501c4 so has to report such uses to the FEC. It doesn't seem the creators are restricted in supporting/opposing candidates, they just can't use Chorus funds for it.

Disclaimer: nobody pays for my good poasts, nobody has ever even offered.šŸ˜†

Creators in the program are not allowed to use any funds or resources that they receive as part of the program to make content that supports or opposes any political candidate or campaign without express authorization from Chorus in advance and in writing, per the contract.

NEW: A dark money group Is secretly funding high-profile Democratic influencers, offering influencers up to $8,000 a month to push the party line. All they have to do is keep it secret—and agree to restrictions on their content.

a truly wild story from @taylorlorenz.bsky.social for @wired.com:

An initiative aimed at boosting Democrats online offers influencers up to $8,000 a month to push the party line. All they have to do is keep it secret—and agree to restrictions on their content.

  2. If something happened to be daughter and in response I was told that she is now "with the person who loved her the most," you could not hold me legally liable for what I would do next.

Fox News' Trey Gowdy: "The only thing that can give us any modicum of peace at all is those two children are with the person who loved them the very most, the person who created them, that being Jesus. That is the only thing that can possibly give parents in the future any modicum of peace."

  4. Not an exaggeration. If anything, this understates how unhinged the video is. It is, quite literally, five white guys talking about how to free the states from the burdens of the 14th Amendment so churches can effectively be given ownership over "gangbangers in Baltimore."

At around the 22-25 minute marks, Yarvin, JD Vance’s court philosopher, proposes a system where black people would be made wards of religious ministers, who could force them to work as indentured servants and require them to submit to 24/7 ā€œair-tagā€ monitoring.

  5. This is a real image of what a new solar system looks like.

The light from the central star is blocked, so it's possible to see the lanes of cleared-up dust around it.

And that small, yellowish blob at lower right?

That's a whole, brand new planet.
