My mom and aunt went to college while my other relatives on that side didn't. They ended up (generally) living richer, healthier lives and helped out those in their family who weren't as fortunate.

I think the varieties of psychological and sociological reasons why people are susceptible all comes down to the racism. It undergirds and provides fertile ground for grievances on. Until this is actually brought to the surface and defeated, we’re doomed to these vicious cycles.
