I like the threat of liability for the dairy and the store in because they should not be selling people an unreasonably dangerous product. It’d be better if people were informed consumers, but you have to account for the fact that many are not - a pregnant toddler mom has limited time to research.

In fairness, Maxwell didn’t get away with it - she’s serving a 20 year prison sentence. But if she gets a pardon, then yes, she will have gotten away with it.

Honestly the Supreme Court eliminated it by allowing ludicrous gerrymandering. It’s wrong to be able to dilute votes in this way, but there’s no point in unilaterally applying a principle that they’ve refused to require. That’s just meaningless self harm.
