Just finished listening to Wild Faith by @swordsjew.bsky.social and I am floored at how complete a picture it builds of US Evangelicalism. I’m grateful, too. Coming from inside that world, it’s been maddening to watch people be so dismissive of the danger.

    I grew up deep in it, and got out as an adult. What Lavin really gets with this book is that we can’t just roll our eyes and laugh at them - it’s a powerful, dangerous movement doing incredible harm to society and to individual people, including its own members.
