The high interest rates were why my balance doubled in the 10 years after I graduated in 2010 despite making all my payments. Congress has the power to lower these interest rates.

I hope we can get someone in there who can reinstate what Biden did with the SAVE plan - reasonable monthly payments, no runaway interest ballooning borrowers debt, loan forgiveness after 20/25 years, and the elimination of the tax bomb on forgiven loans.
