I don’t think he thinks he’s granting freedom at all. He’s willfully ignorant and convinced he’s right, which is a dangerous combination.

I was up and walking within hours of waking up. I was able to get up and walk whenever I needed to. The urinary catheter and bolster were removed 6 days later. It’s not as debilitating as one imagines. I was certainly surprised!
