It comes after she increased rent on a house she owns within weeks of the previous tenants' contracts ending.

UK Homelessness minister threw out her tenants - then increased rent by £700 a month.

Rent increased from £3,300 to £4,000 a month, 21% increase.

  4. It is also worth noting the proposed documentation requirements for accessing this scheme are just beyond what a lot of people seeking asylum can manage, marriage certificates, birth certificates etc. The application appears to be digital only, and has to be completed in one go. This is unrealistic.

The government's criteria for who will be able to apply for asylum under its "one in one out policy" would be farcical if it wasn't so cruel. Stage 2 is negated in many cases by stage 1. This is a system designed to prevent people getting to somewhere feel safe and are able to rebuild their lives 1/

And here is a Home Office paper with further details of what it is calling the UK/European applicant transfer scheme will work.

With the government expected to accept around just 50 migrants per week when the scheme starts, it is expected that only a small proportion of applications will be accepted.

The document says people will be chosen via a three-stage process.

First, they must be from a group with an 80% or higher chance of being granted protection status in the first instance.

Judging by asylum claim figures for the year ending March 2025, that would mean they would have to be from Sudan (99% success ragte), Yemen (98%), Syria (98%) or Eritrea (86%). (The figures for Syria have probably changed since the fall of the Assad regime.)

Second, applicants will have to show they have a connection with the UK, defined as having "previously been in the UK with permission for more than 6 months continuously in the last 5 years and have not overstayed or breached the conditions of their permission".

And, in the third stage, people will be chosen at random out from applicants who have passed the first two stages.

  5. They also donated to the Tories, of course - basically, they're ensuring that whatever party gets elected in the UK, they control it where it counts.

(This is just the carrot shown here; we saw from weaponisation of antisemitism against Corbyn's Labour that they're also willing to use the stick)

Picture from Declassified UK showing Labour cabinet members under Starmer and the amount they've each received in 'donations' from the Israel lobby.

  6. This mindset isn’t just in the headlines anymore – it’s happening on our streets and in our workplaces.

People from minority backgrounds are being treated with suspicion, judged unfairly, and made to feel like outsiders – simply for doing their jobs or going about their lives.
