Team USA has banned trans people from the US Olympic and Paralympic team.

The ban may violate federal law, given the Ted Stevens act, that prevents the US team from enacting eligibility criteria beyond international federations.

Sadly the head of the IOC has views that align with the USOPC position.

USOPC, like NCAA took the easy route and decided discrimination is easier than litigation.

Also, some in charge may feel they are doing "right" when what they are actually doing is capitulating to bigotry.
