They definitely should've used a different model and if they really had balls they should have cast a non-android (still living) previous cast member to chuck in some fun ambiguity that, if it were me, would never be explained.

Joking aside, I find the film quite an odd mixed bag of things I really love and things that I'm not keen on, but Andy is such a compelling character. Right up there as one of the best in the entire series.
