It’s hard to believe that 31% of Americans still believe Trump is “honest and trustworthy.” I think some of them know Trump is a liar, but think he’s lying cleverly to help them and own the libs. They’re pro-lie, so they lie to pollsters about Trump’s lying.

The fact that ANYONE views a proven pathological liar like Donald Trump, a man with over 3000 fraud settlements, a man convicted of 34 felonies, with two dozen credible rape accusations against him, as "honest & trustworthy" is mind-blowing to me.

We have a country where surveys repeatedly show that roughly 20-30 percent of the population still believes in young earth creationism. Given that level of willful ignorance on a topic that's been scientifically/definitively debunked countless times, it's easy to believe Trump can actively con 31%.

Very odd sort of framing for a data point. The questions on "personal traits" at Pew Research looks a bit more multivariate and suggest his voters tend to weigh Trump quite subjective... As in, Trump is "honest" on Trump's terms, in as far as we expect him to be honest. But no objective measure.
