Read The Stand and saw the original Dawn of the Dead as a teenager, probably within the span of a few months (both released in 1978). It's almost as if I were primed not to be surprised about anything that's happened over the last decade.

Gotcha. I assumed our knowledge of pre-industrial methane concentration, which would roughly correspond to pre-big agriculture, would be the same as our knowledge of CO2. Thanks!

Reading an older SF book which refers to methane as a potential exoplanet biosignature because, before modern mass animal agriculture, its concentration in the atmosphere was minimal. Is that accurate?

Penn and Teller's show "Bullshit" covered that 20 years ago. Filled a variety of bottles from the same source, and people were sure they could taste the difference between the "vintages."
