I tend to. People should understand the consequences of following a political activism effort through. Gerrymandering is a last resort that should be avoided at all costs. We should be hoping for a mutual agreement to undo gerrymandering. Highly unlikely. The worst outcome is GOP expansion!
The time for arguing both sides is over. The GOP takes risks and have been rewarded with power. The Dems talk about risks, do nothing, and get rightly perceived as pussies. It's time for action, and that means taking some risks.

You're not getting it. If the margins are cut too close and there's a swing in favor of the GOP then the gerrymandered districts could go to Republicans. It's far more likely to occur in CA than TX. Even if it works in Dems favor, best case is we have politicians that are LESS accountable.
