Not just predictable, really - widely predicted, as my friend Zeerak Talat very rightly says:
This is a truly terrible outcome of LLMs that we have been warning people about. This will continue to happen with a technology like this. Specially when safeguards are not guarantees.
Maybe we should try to build technology that eases life instead of this bullshit.

and the next time you see a candidate for anything suggest it’s time to compromise on trans rights (gavin) or that trans people can’t exist (rahm), say, “no. dealbreaker. fuck off.”
i try not to do a thread like this without some sort of call to action. it’s hard to call to action against an executive order!
but if you want to stand with trans people—and everyone else who will eventually be erased by this—now is the time to reach out to your state & local government.
