I admit I'm sure I'm reading too much into casual word usage that wasn't thought through fully, but I also know the internet's ability to run with misinformation regardless of where it came from. Poe's law and such.

Which is the exact opposite of the lesson trying to be taught early on in that pandemic. Some people have been born with the virus, some have caught it through bad blood transfusions, please don't let this evolve into gatekeeping a disease. That's not cool.

HIV can and does affect anyone. There are factors that make it higher for MtM sexual contact (specifically, and let's remember "gay people" includes lesbian too), yes, but it's not an issue that only affects gay or bisexual men and it does feel a bit like some are trying to claim it as such.

I want to say "you're joking" in disbelief, though I know better just by how humans are, but still, that's the kind of behaviour that leads to uneducated redditors assuming all voice actors are divas or whatever. Hurts everyone, not just their own career.

Actually yeah, that does give me a bit of an icky feeling. While m-t-m sexual contact has a disproportionate number of HIV/AIDS cases, this post kinda makes it seem like a queer-only issue which erases a not insignificant chunk of non-queer people who also have contracted it.
