I am trying to pull away from the YouTube ecosystem, but there are still come creators on there I really like, & honestly, Michael Burns since the demise of WiseCrack has been putting out some really solid videos, which is why I can't quite pull myself away from it as a platform completely.
my new video explores what happens when we attempt to do philosophy on a platform that's driven by attention, drama, and data collection.
and how we might use that platform to engender curiosity and create community.
another internet is . . . possible?

thank you so much for sometimes dropping into that messy ecosystem to check out what i'm doing. means a lot!

sorry to hear that! I felt like this one had a pretty decent focus to it, and tried to make the sections really clear, but I'm sure it could be tighter.

a stream thing from this week where I talked about how dumb the trolley problem is and had a mental breakdown trying to make sense of why Alex O'Connor was on the Andrew Schulz podcast

okay okay i'll stop promoting this one it's just that i think it's good and we worked really hard on it so i figured why not tell people to watch it?

None of these people would set foot in LA without an imperial guard. They’d be locking their car doors in the Erewhon lot. Sweating bullets thinking about the Maru line. Panicking when a guy has a stereo on a subway platform.
Kristi Noem: "I do know that LA wouldn't be standing today if President Trump hadn't taken action."
