And a part of that is taking advantage of every opportunity I can to build consciousness and organizing capacity, even if I'm not always good at it.

It's not that people aren't interested. They are. We just don't have the capacity. We need to be 2 decades ahead in our organizing capacity, but we have to deal with the hand we've got.
We lose until we win. That's how it always has been for our sorts. But giving up only serves the fascists.

You want a general strike? Cool. Show up to protests. Push that as an action. Map people out who would be down to help build that. Use these networks to build what you want. We literally need everything anyone can bring.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to organize a general strike? You're talking about marching in the streets vs the organized version of a nuke. We weren't anywhere near having that capacity in 2024. You are correct that no one is coming to save us, so we gotta do everything we can

And I just want to toss this in too: While the protests in and of themselves will not be enough, don't look down on them. They are networking points. These are people willing to do something, and do what we can to connect to folks. Do not let perfection be the enemy of action.

Sure, but we also need stop gaps. People using VPNs so they can do some degree of info sec to coordinate and collaborate is crucial too. Will it hold, is it enough on it's own? Absolutely not. But the worst thing ANYONE can do is comply in advance.
