The other thing is most fires start from lightning (even dry heat lightning) and with the dryness the fire would move at a speed that would make it near impossible to save him and his kids from burning alive. He’s literally walking in a minefield with his children.

To add: It’s not just about the risk of starting a fire. Most forest fires start from lightning (yes- heat lightning with no precipitation is a legit common thing). It’s also the risk to you (and your kids) if a fire starts it will be likely impossible to evacuate you before you’re killed.

Oh 😢😢😢 It’s not had much rain here in Montreal either. My catnip dried to a crisp in my planter. I’m constantly paranoid some idiot is going to start a fire in the Mont Royal park mountain and that would be disastrous with the down draft.

Just listened to the raw audio for episode 7. Pretty good. I think this clearly explains something that a lot of Canadians don’t fully grasp and how it benefits us greatly.
And it will put into perspective aspects of “negotiating” with the US on trade.
