Holy crap. An en banc panel of federal appeals judges just declared Trump’s tariffs unlawful in a 7-4 ruling! This is huge. Now he has until October 14th to appeal, but if upheld, it would be the end of his unilateral tariffs. Granted, he can reimplement them with the approval of the senate though.

That sucks — and I'm not surprised. Given how many false detainments ICE has engaged carelessly, even breathlessly in, rounding up anyone they can to meet arbitrary quotas, everyone has cause to be afraid.

Yesterday, ICE agents detained firefighters who were actively fighting a wildfire. As a firefighter and paramedic, I know firsthand that in an emergency, every second counts, and politics should never come before saving lives.
