Thanks for letting me know how democracy works and of your opinion that Cuomo was railroaded. Mamdani receiving more votes (573K) than your nationally known former governor means nothing. As far as I can tell, I didn't say Hochul was some terrible villain who must be ignored for her heresy but sure.

I’m no socialist, promise. I believe most of her actions in NYC for instance - policing, congestion tolls, polemics as a whole - were cynical. Her lack of support for those who were harassed and abused by Cuomo was quite bad. But again, it’s ok to correct yourself and fight as called for.

I really don’t get why 2 things can’t be done at the same time. The incentive structure for republicans of abject fidelity doesn’t and shouldn’t be replicated. Of course we can’t ask for perfection from politicians. It’s our job to bring reality to disengaged people. That’s the power of resistance
