So I learned something interesting. Apparently there is some invasive black beetle attacking trees and shrubs here. I have lost 2 tree and 2 shrubs so far. Neighbors on both sides have lost trees too. And there is no cure. Great huh? It injects some kind of fungus. I already replaced the chaste tree
Not going to replace the one in the backyard. That was a Pistache. Apparently native trees and plants are more resistive. But the wicked heat last year weakened many so they were more susceptible. I need to do more research.
Bah humbug.

Gah. That is as frustrating as the bark beetles up here. So many large pinon have already succumbed.

What other types of trees did you loose?

Burger with creamy mushroom sauce was pretty awesome. Fighting off the mosquitos trying to suck my blood, not so much. I have bug spray but it's a must now.
