If these obligated funds can be restored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, they can restore all obligated funds. Simple as that. #NEH #Wyoming

  2. Once again a virulently ignorant lack of recognition of the labor of #NEH applicants - the work you put into writing your applications has meaning and takes time, money, and expertise. You, we, all of us workers deserve better.

  3. Which American workers are first, exactly?

The tens of thousands of civil servants that have been fired this year?

Including most of us at #NEH? 🤔

We sure aren't feeling "first" when we're filing for unemployment every week.

Is that what the Trump administration calls gutting the union rights of over 400,000 workers?

Trump hasn’t put “American workers first.” He's been the union-buster in chief.

  4. "State humanities councils across the country are close to their breaking point."

A reminder that appropriations have been made and are mandated by Congress - they just haven't been allowed to be spent, blocked by the ongoing #DOGE takeover of the National Endowment for the Humanities. #NEH

This network is critical to the cultural health of states and territories, yet councils are having to take unprecedented steps to survive.

  5. "[Trump's] Administration killed the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, hobbled the National Endowment for the Humanities & the National Endowment for the Arts, & cut federal funding to thousands of state and local programs that support arts & music education for children."

  6. It's hard to wrap our head around this. The cuts to staff at the National Endowment for the Humanities are only a tiny % of federal jobs lost, but we, #IMLS, & #NEA did the bulk of the work of funding the #arts & the #humanities across the U.S. Where are we now? How does this get fixed? 😔 #NEH

300,000 federal jobs wiped out. This isn’t “draining the swamp,” it’s draining communities. Every one of those jobs supports families, local businesses, and essential services. Workers are paying the price for political power plays. seiu.co/45Z3dai
