For more than 9 months in the 60s, National Guard troops patrolled the city the longest military occupation on U.S. soil since the Civil War. Scars remain.
And here’s the CEO of Jack Daniels’ parent company attributing Canada’s current distaste for US brands to economics, tariffs, etc.
Note how he’s calling Canadians’ preference not to buy US goods “a very disproportionate response” - not US threats to invade Canada.
Watching the US wonder what possible reason there could be for the massive, precipitous drop in numbers of tourists to the USA from Canada is absolutely the gift that keeps giving.

This is part of the greater war on education and expertise that’s ongoing. A professional class of law enforcement is anathema to the people in power who want blunt weapons with which to beat the undesirables, not people who can think, and question, and refuse.
Apart from firearms, the part of training we spent the most time on (if I am recalling correctly) was legal instruction. Now the FBI is hiring people with no college degree and slashing training time in half (reducing academics, guessing ethics also). Absolute disaster www.nysun.com/article/fbi-...
