  1. Just spoke with @discord12395.bsky.social , who had a conversation with an "executive customer focus team member" at PayPal after filing a BBB complaint regarding his customer service case number being non-existent. Insight follows into where PayPal stands on adult content:

I contacted PayPal previously in regards to restricting legal content, and they gave me a case number. When I called back again later on, they informed me that the case number did not exist, and that it needed letters along with the numbers. So I contacted BBB over PayPal's mismanagement of case numbers on August 1st that PayPal did not inform me of adding letters to said numbers that I was given.

On August 19th, PayPal called me after being contacted by BBB, and later messaged me in my own PayPal acct clarifying about their case number filing.

"To clarify, our case number system includes a specific format that typically begins with a letter prefix such as โ€œLโ€ or โ€œR,โ€ followed by a series of numbers. This format helps us accurately track and retrieve case records. Based on your report, we were unable to provide a case number because the issue does not directly involve your own PayPal account.

While I understand your interest in the actions we may take regarding account suspensions or restrictions, please note that we are unable to comment on any actions involving accounts that are not your own. This is to ensure the privacy and security of all our users."
As for the call on the same day, an executive costumer focus team member from PayPal (the same one that messaged me on my account) called me to discuss my complaint to BBB. The call was roughly 40 min combined (had to hang up for a couple min bc of bad connection, and they called me back after a minute). Here's what they've told me.

Sex toys can be sold (but needs to be approved)

digital goods require extra authorization and needs to come from a legitimate source

they said that they won't discuss much of it if I'm not personally affected by it

the seller has to have documents, and would be given an opportunity to present it should their account be restricted

The owner of said businesses should directly contact PayPal, and needs to be approved

No adult video streaming, nsfw arts varies

  2. "Can't discuss much you're not personally affected by" when does PayPal want us to find out about their super secret policies? When they close your account? Many things to ask them about when we call
