People are rightly angry about this case but it's so important to stress it is not an anomaly. Universities are full of predators that institutions protect. Most of us know who they are and warn of them, but those who can and should be acting to stop it continually fail to do so.

C'est comme quand en France on explique à un public qui n'est pas allé à l'université ou qui y est allé il y a 30 ans qu'elle est gouvernée par les islamogauchistes.
I’m a law prof & a YLS grad and anyone familiar w elite law schools knows it is beyond laughable to describe these places as radicalism hotbeds. Cruz knows this, as does JD Vance. But they assume that their marks are too unsophisticated to know it too. It’s condescending as hell.
Sur ARTE à l'instant, un "enseignant-chercheur CNRS". Il y a quelques années, @mhoussayh.cpesr.fr était professeure à l'Ecole Normale Supérieure de Grenoble (qui n'existe pas). Il y a un boulot à prendre de fact-checker enseignement supérieur et recherche à la télévision française.

Oui. D'autant que si le ministre change, le resp admin reste en place. Peut-on demander à celui qui an mis en place les EPE d'avoir un avis neutre sur les EPE ?
Il me paraît plausible qu'une partie des dysfonctionnements constatés s'explique par l'impossibilité par les dirigeants de se rendre compte que des politiques ne fonctionnent pas vraiment.
Ceci m'évoque un livre que je n'ai pas fini, The best and the brightest, sur comment des gens très scolairement brillants (l'équivalent de nos énarques) ont entraîné les USA dans la Guerre du Vietnam notamment par leur ignorance du terrain, qu'ils ne percevaient qu'à distance.
Mais penser que les mêmes politiques poussées depuis 20 ans vont donner des résultats différents parce qu'on prend une posture ironique à leur propos ne me semble pas particulièrement rationnel.
