The United States Department of Defense is a massive organization, with millions of personnel and thousands of facilities.

Do you realize how expensive it is to rebrand something that big? It means new signs, IDs, stationary, etc.

On top of everything else, it’d be unprecedentedly huge govt waste.

  1. Also it's actually double that because the next non-trump president is going to reverse the whole thing

  2. Yet DIC did it, DIC Dummy in Charge. He wastes taxpayer money with no regard. Its because he owns the Judges, The Senate. The House. They are all wearing couture knee pads. and LV Lipstick. I have never seen so many people afraid of a CLOWN. May God have Mercy on the US.

  3. It isn't government waste, unless money is spent to benefit the American people. This helps no one, and therefore IS NOT waste. Now, if it were to be spent on SNAP benefits, education, Child care, reparations for slavery, or anything else that might help a poor person, then THAT would be Gov. waste

  4. It's worth it though if you need it to start a war so the elections can be discontinued.

  5. And can’t be done without an act of Congress ‼️ Another diversion ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

  6. R’s don’t care about spending/wasting taxpayer dollars if it’s 2 build more weapons/prisons, fund ICE, militarize police or refurbish a “gifted” jet given 2 Trump by a “friendly nation.” They’re only against money spent 2 help citizens, enlisted forces/veterans, little kids, the elderly & poor.

  7. So next time Democrats take the stage and start telling us about universal healthcare and other things we’ll never get, maybe we should ask them how they plan to actually fight for us…?

  8. #2weakdon is not capable of renaming the DoD. It will take up his time and earn him a new label #1yeardon The "real employment" will be out in a year. #2dolldon #$weakdon #1yeardon

  9. Over a Billion Dollars!! Hegseth already changed the sign on his door to Secretary of War. They're itching for war. Again, where's Congress...they're supposed to approve this. We know the Republicans likely will...but let's get the vote. Let their constituents know.

  10. Correct me if I’m wrong here but Trump doesn’t have the authority to change the name of a department created by Congress. Is this just another example of ‘obeying in advance’?

  11. Changing DOD to DOW. We already have one of those. Imagine the confusion. If in the end there is a difference.

    0
  12. It's one of the world's largest organizations! Estimates are that it will COST OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS TO MAKE THE CHANGE! So much for government waste and efficiency!

    0
  13. That's the point. The grift. The kickbacks. The over inflated costs.

Think of the Alligator concentration camp that cost over $400 million for some tents and fencing "to build" - someone walked away with a fortune and we should know who

    We need forensic accountants

  14. It’s totally pointless as well but on brand for an organization led by an incompetent drunk/bro who thinks it’s all a game.

  15. It would make the orange guy happy so….. spare no expense…. While lots of folks struggle and support systems get cut… the republicans aren’t interested ok with wasting money on shit to satisfy his huge ego….

  16. It would be like if McDonalds rebranded. And just as stupid.

Also, add this to the list of things that the Trumpism clean up crew is going to have to deal with

  17. The ordinary American will pay with his taxes, social security, Health care, Food stamps and the destroying of school and Education. Everything for one man with tiny hands.

  18. since it’s only an EO that expires when a dem is Prez, can the Pentagon find a workaround that still appeases insecure Pete Hegseth? he is itching for a war, so he can be remembered for something, anything.

  19. The dumba$$ morons keep dragging USA into more and more debt, puerile school yard antics, while China Russia and North Korea plan their next move

  20. And no Congressional approval! Just like the gaudy good touches at the WH and ballroom we taxpayers didn’t want!

Money can’t buy intelligence or taste.

    0
  21. And realize that the expense is actually double that, since every single thing that Trump does we are going to undo and wipe away.

    0
  22. It will cost millions of dollars. A gross waste of taxpayers money. So much for being fiscally responsible.

    0
  23. Not it would be it will be. And we will all pay for it. We've been through this. Remember the Gulf of dipshitness?. We're paying for that currently and we'll pay for much more. Did you see what he did to the Rose garden at the White House again? We paid for it before when he was president.

... And Donald Trump has friends that sell those things and will kick back to him

  25. Nobody ever thinks of shit like this when a new guy comes in and feels like he has to piss all over everything to make his mark. This is exactly the type of shit a “businessman” president would do. This is what stupid people voted for.

    0
  26. my exact worry is that dems don't undo most of what he's done because of the cost to fix things again

but a savvy politician would add the repair bill to the initial waste and blame it all on trump!

    1
  27. It gets worse. If The Orange Rapist ever has a successor - if he doesn't declare himself emperor and end the US, if humanity survives him - they'll immediately rename it back to "Department of Defense." So this maroon is making sure we have the expense twice just for his vanity.

  28. These fools really are ok with wasting money. As long as their candidate is the one doing it. Ironically, their constituents are among the poorest in the nation.

  29. Just think how many deals the Trump administration is making with companies to supply new signs, IDs, stationery, etc. Then think how disappointing for these companies when Trump ends up refusing to pay them, as he's often done with business contracts. It's grift time all over the Administration.

  30. I’ve read possibly upwards of $2bn. How many homeless vets could that money house? How many more doctors could the V.A. hire? How much could they raise active duty pay so they don’t need food stamps? I know these are rhetorical questions as this admin doesn’t give a 💩.

  31. Where is DOGE when you really need ‘em? Big Balls would have gotten to the bottom of this ASAP. Well, right after the mop up of spilled IRS confidential records on Aisle 1.

  32. That’s how this man/baby psychopath operates! You dangle a glittery thought in front of him— and he snaps at it! He has all the thought process of a lizard eating flies!

  33. Not his money! When you spend other people's money without any oversight, this is what happens. Must be nice to have gazillion dollars to spend on yourself, your associates and to implement every hateful bone in your body.

    0
  34. So your telling me that DOGE and all the ensuing chaos under the guise of fighting waste, fraud, and abuse was all a ruse? It wasn’t about saving money? Huh. Who’d have thought. 🤔

    0
  35. Make the calls to our elected officials on Capitol Hill. Demand that they stop wasting our tax dollars to rebrand the Department of Defense to the War Department!

    0
  36. They don’t care. Money is not an issue, unless of course it’s going to the people, then they need to grab it for themselves. #PedoProtectorPOTUS #RemoveTrumpNOW

    0
  37. in fairness, the DOGE raiders already got to work destroying tons of records so I'm sure lots of the paper archives that might need to be changed are shredding & burning at the moment anyway

  38. Fraud and waste is the bottom line with this regime. They take money from American people who paid taxes for protections of food insecurity and medical care to do what they want to destroy our country

    0
  39. We will never be a classless society until we physically eliminate the class reaping the benefits from our labor, time, and the livelihoods and futures we retain in dreams so that there’s can be made material. Physical, non-consensual elimination.

  40. If only we had a quasi-governmental group for government efficiency whose job it is to root out waste, fraud, and abuse. We could call it the Department Of Government Efficiency. Or similar, idk.

    0
  41. It will involve massive cost. Repubs will scramble to justify it, while also conveniently ignoring the countless other ways he wastes money. Soon, they’ll preach to us about fiscal responsibility.

    0
  42. dump doesn't care, he isn't using his money, he is using ours. Just like he and muskkk have ruined every agency in our country that help citizens. He gave our tax money away to the rich. So America why are we paying tax dollars for agencies that no longer work for us??????

  43. Douse a pallet of your own missile stock in jet fuel & light it up : Treasonous Sabotage.

Ensure money to buy Pallet Of Missile Stock is doused in stooooopid and lit up? Kraznov Treasonous Sabotage.

As goes Donny's Atlantic City Casino...so goes DoD.

And both were favors to Russians.

  44. My sentiments exactly. It is stupid to spend money on rebranding when people are homeless, malnourished and lacking basic healthcare.

    0
  45. They keep claiming Alpha status while displaying the little boy. The Bone Spur Administration.🤡🤌

    0
  46. Where’s DOGE when you need them?! Oh, yeah, it was never about fraud, waste, abuse with the DOD, only those other agencies.

    0
  47. Wasting a dime of taxpayer money on rebranding the military, when we still have war veterans begging on street corners, is also a moral crime. #WhatIfDems? Restore services for veterans instead.

    0
  48. Every congress person who votes for it is wasting our tax dollars for the sake of bending the knee to Trump.

They need to be held accountable.

    1
  49. I thought they were going to reduce waste. What is this GARBAGE ? And where is DOGE when you need them ? LIARS AND GRIFTERS ALL.

  51. Gonna be some contracts involved, wouldn't you think? Do you suppose somebody's gonna be getting a piece of the action?

    0
  52. No, our nonreading donnie does not understand that. He's, above all, an imbecile. And as Nate White so famously wrote, a Frankenstein's monster composed entirely of human flaws.

    0
  53. The contractor who is in charge of rebranding estimated it will be 3 billion but will go to 300 billion by the end. Good friend of the secretary of War.

    0
  54. Do they even know about evaluating how a plan might affect others, before ramming it forward? This is project management 101. Trump's regime is full of the unqualified.

    0
  55. 👹Not to mention that it's MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF TAXPAYERS MONEY FFS 👺👺👺

    0
  56. This regime just loves the tax payers bottomless pocket, nothing but waste, fraud, and abuse since day one😡😡😡😡

  57. But Hegspeth is happy. I fully expect him to show up one day in a uniform with lots of gold braid and a sword or "swagger stick." A white horse would also complete the image of a medieval war lord. Picture the painting of Napoleon crossing the Alps.

    0
  58. The irony is hard to miss: the same people who rail against “big government” are proposing one of the biggest, most pointless bureaucratic boondoggles in modern history. You don’t waste billions on cosmetic rebranding if you care about efficiency — you do it if you care about vanity and distraction.

    0
  59. Donald Trump never cared about waste, fraud, abuse, debt, deficits, drugs, or crime.

Cost is of no concern to him. As far as he is concerned, it's free money for him to play with as he chooses. The BBB is nothing more than a big waste of money and a gift to billionaires at our expense.

    0
  60. Design is cheap compared to the other spending of the regime. I went to the White House website to see the new design it was a work in progress live. This screen shot of Cheeto and Felon is hilarious. You see the erase tool and everything.

    0
  61. And can't be renamed by Executive Order, but only an Act of Congress.

So realistically, they can make some "for when the dumbass would see it" stock and ignore doing any more- or not even that, because again, Trump can't change the name with an executive order.

    1
  62. For government waste, you can count on Republicans. Look at DOGE, how many people did they fire and rehire? ++++++

    0
  63. AND-- so difficult to trace where all that money goes! Every grifting the book. THEN-- when it's all over, it all has to be changed back!

  64. The Reps cons and MAGA only give a shit about govt waste when the Dems are in power, this is all projectionist bullshit.
