Brasil has competing, multiple centres of power (not only two parties), gerrymander-proof electoral districts (the electoral system is neutral and hard to corrupt), 3-level federalism, a modern, non-archaic constitution which can be amended regularly, and so on.

yeah, until 10 years ago and the rise of Bolsonarismo, whenever we discussed threats to democracy, they were always at the socioeconomic level; wealthy interests buying politicians, governments using targeted investments to buy voters, and so on. the electoral system itself is rock solid.
