  2. "Life is always contributing to the eventual collapse of the cosmos."

Read Drew Dalton's musings on philosophy, thermodynamics, and the end. Then if you hunger for more on the quiet horror that structures existence, grab a copy of his THE MATTER OF EVIL.

  4. I saw a production of Bug in a former goth/punk night club in Pittsburgh sometime between 2007 and 2009. I think it was the Pittsburgh premier. I've seen a good number of plays, including a bunch of Broadway shows, but that production of Bug is the one I think about the most.

If you haven't had the chance to see BUG by Tracy Letts, the play is now headed to Broadway in December at Manhattan Theatre Club!

This is one of the most extraordinary plays on our list, and we can't wait for new audiences to experience it for the first time.

  6. Of my three books, Melissa Febos, national bestselling author of The Dry Season, said:

“Wendy C. Ortiz is an essential chronicler of queer embodiment, dreams, and the ways that place and perspective create us. What a treasure to be gifted these bold and lyrical modern classics in updated form."

  7. If you really want to understand the life of a showgirl, first you have to go back in time to pantomime, vaudeville, and nightclub revues; to understand the modern showgirl, you have to understand Gertrude Hoffman.
