Getting laid off sucks, buuut… I’m currently tipsy in my parents lower garden with mom, dad, brother, SIL & out of town aunts/ cousins, & I wouldn’t be able to be at this third event of the weekend if I was working right now.

This feels ‘Net Bad’ for the Internet, but I’m not sure what the better solution might have been for this. Is Reddit able to prevent such scraping on their own site?
(Someone else with more technical knowledge might have some suggestions though)
Big move from Reddit: it says that it has caught AI companies scraping its data from the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, so it’s going to start blocking the Internet Archive from indexing the vast majority of Reddit.
