I'm always a bit hesitant to use the word elites for this specific group. Seems to me that elites in most people's minds - i.e., in its derogatory usage - are not the very rich but the "eggheads". Experts far removed and uninterested in real people but feeling entitled to lecture them. No?
moreover that elites capturing is a general feature of our political environment and not a special demerit of a particular political style or aesthetic (like, for instance, identity politics)
I will be curious how long the authors are allowed to remain at the Post given its owner’s petulance.
