There is that, but the messaging is the opposite of a lot of these films, more Rambo films + slasher or Red Dawn than The Running Man or Total Recall or even Alien. It was for people who actually believed Reagan's bullshit about Latin America and the Caribbean, and were terrified of the Rasta alien.
