That doesn't make it "not an asset", regardless of hypotheticals. And as far as that goes, has the FO agreed to anything so far? 10 other players in the league next year have agreed to the same 1/ or 2 yr deal without waiving that right. Not sure why it's up to the player to be the agreeable one.

The no-trade clause is an inherent part of the offer that is built-in by the CBA; the GS FO wants him to waive that right.
It wouldn't mean that he couldn't ever be traded, only that JK would have final say over where he goes.
